👥 Who is this support center for?​

This support center is intended for all users of the Wound³ application, from administrators, to researchers, to care providers to patients.

Some content in this Support Center is more applicable to some user types than others. Tags are included at the top of each page to clearly identify the intended audience for the content. The red Administrator tag specifies that the content is relevant for study administrators, the yellow Care Provider tag for Care Provider users, and the green Patient tag for patient users.

🧑‍💻 What is Wound³?​

Wound³ is a software as a medical device company specializing in digital wound data solutions.

The Wound³ ecosystem is split into two main interfaces:

  • 📱Mobile Application: Used for image capture and data creation.
  • 💻Web Application: Used for data and user management.

The Wound³ ecosystem is a HIPAA-compliant and secure solution to enable users to conveniently capture and upload quality-validated wound healing data, from images to 3D scans to questionnaires to videos, to a single unified source of truth, enabling completely virtual wound monitoring and personalized, data-driven care.

🔄 What does the application do?​

The Wound³ ecosystem ensures that patients, researchers, and study administrators have a unified, single source of truth for all wound data within the study. In addition to creating a secure, reliable, and convenient digital solution for data transmission, the Wound³ application:

  • ✅ Validates image quality to ensure study data requirements for subsequent analysis & AI training are met.
  • 💾 Collects images, questionnaires, and other related data within a single interface.
  • 🛡️ Ensures patient data privacy and security is maintained throughout the study.
  • 📱 Enables self-service large-scale data collection for thousands of patients.

🛡️ How is my data secured and kept private?​

The Wound³ ecosystem was designed to meet or exceed industry best practices and is HIPAA-compliant. We protect your data by:

  • 🗝️ Requiring multi-factor authentication to all user accounts.
  • ❌ Preventing data download or export from the ecosystem.
  • 🔐 Encrypting all data at rest and in transit using AES-256 and TLS 1.2+ protocols.
  • 🧑‍💻 Segregating user permissions to ensure users are restricted to accessing their own data.
